Johnstown’s Stone Bridge From the Banks of the Conemaugh River
“…in beauty like the night of cloudless climes and starry skies” -Lord Byron (George Gordon)
Kayaking down the too-shallow Stonycreek at night is a scream. Kayaking back up the Stony is something else all together, but that’s another story for another time. Got my feet wet under Johnstown’s Stone Bridge last week and loved it.
Wildflowers growing, a blue heron soaring, little fishies busying, and that magnificent bridge towering overhead.
As you probably know, the Stone Bridge is lit through the auspices of The Stone Bridge Project and administered by the Johnstown Area Heritage Association. And now you can support the bridge lighting and beautify your home or gift a friend at the same time. Prints of select images in the gallery below are now available in the Laurelight Gift Shop. A portion of sales of all Stone Bridge photos goes to support the lighting of the Stone Bridge through The Stone Bridge Project.
All Laurelight images are custom printed by a professional lab on quality photographic paper, mounted on 2mm styrene board and protected from fingerprints, water and UV damage with a durable laminate coating. Prints come ready for framing, and the protective laminate makes framing glass and overmats optional. Standard shipping within the continental United States is FREE.
Love your rivers!
